Minutes of an extraordinary virtual meeting of the Parish Council held on
Thursday 8th April 2021 via Zoom at 7.30 pm.
Present: Cllr Noble (Chair), Cllr Carey, Cllr Curry, Cllr Eaton, Cllr Heydon and Cllr Jackson.

Public Participation
Members of the public were invited to make representations to the Council on any matters relating to the work of the Council or to raise any issues of concern: None.
AGENDA ITEM
2020/123 Apologies for Absence
Cllr F Morland due to inability to attend virtual meetings, noted.
Cllr E Pomeroy due to another engagement, accepted.
2020/124 Declarations of Interest and Dispensations to Participate - None.
2020/125 Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence
Members considered any representation the Council wished to make to the Trade Commissioners Officer in respect of the below application:
IAN CUNDICK AND ALICE CUNDICK trading a Magic Waste Solutions of 26 Bences Lane Costa Wiltshire SN13 0DW, is applying for a licence to use Unit 2 The Yard 3 Poplar Tree Lane Southwick Wiltshire SA14 9NB as an operating centre for 3 goods vehicles and 0 trailers. Owners or occupiers of land (including buildings) near the operating centre(s) who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House 386 Harehils Lane Leeds LS9 6NF staling their reasons, within 21 days of this notice, Representors must at the same time send a copy of their representations to the applicant at the address given at the top of this notice.
It was noted that the application must relate to a change of use on the site, which is currently a residential traveller site. It was further noted that there were outstanding enforcement issues relating to the site.
Following discussion, it was resolved to OBJECT to the application on the following grounds:
· Highway safety - the entrance and exit to the site are from a dangerous junction onto a busy public highway.
· Planning grounds – the site in question holds planning permission for residential use only, not commercial and any such use would require a change of use. In addition, there a number of outstanding enforcement issues relating to the use and operation of the site.
