Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 18 October 2016. To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record. 5. Review of Solar Farm Fund – Grant Applications Ref. Applicant Title A Brian Johnson To bring the Village Hall up to a reasonable standard B Barbara Vincent To update the 40 yr. old Village Hall kitchen C Mr J Bendell To purchase equipment for Southwick Entertainers D Mr Ted Knight Provision of a bus shelter travelling towards Frome E Mrs PA Jones To maintain the upkeep and improvement of Southwick Country Park F Anne Aland To update the 40 yr. old Village Hall kitchen G Mrs J Pritchard To provide equipment for 'Sing-A-Long' charitable group H Mrs K Noble Provision of defibrillator by 4 year hire I Mrs R. Cadby To purchase compasses and tent for Southwick Senior Girl Guides J Hugh Ceato Provision of a new path alongside S'wick Baptist Church Graveyard K Mrs S Foord Erection of plaque to highlight the old Baptistry a. The Clerk to advise the Parish Council as to the process which might be adopted for assessing the grant applications. a. To review all grant applications received up to 31 October 2016 and to reach agreement as to which applications should be approved, rejected, or require more information. [NOTE. If the Clerk receives applications just prior to 31 October 2016, it may not be possible to have electronic copies sent to Councillors prior to the meeting. In such cases the Clerk will bring paper copies to the meeting for each Councillor.] b. For approved applications, to agree their priority and allocate funds to them out of the available Solar Farm Fund. 6. Clerk’s Report – urgent items only, if any. a. To invite the Council to note any urgent matters that need to be brought to its attention. b. To note the date of the next meeting: 15 Nov. 2016 - Ordinary Parish Council meeting at 7.30pm. 7.
